Since the coronavirus pandemic, the world has suffered loss, fear, illness, and the economy has been greatly impacted. Liberia is no exception. Since the lockdown was declared by the Liberian government, the economy depreciated immensely. A lot of families found it difficult to afford basic needs. Health care workers had to manage the fear for their safety and that of their families.  Communities struggled to combat the coronavirus because of lack of necessary supplies.
To help with this challenging time, we established a Covid-19 Relief Fund and through generous donations were able to send aid to the Liberian community.
-Eight communities around the Virginia area have received food distributions.  This included bags of rice, cooking oil, face masks, buckets and soap.
The NCC clinic staff received proper PPE to keep them safe while continuing to care for the health needs of the community.  Risk benefits were awarded to the clinic staff for risking their lives daily as they put the needs of others above themselves.
-VILA School staff received rice and face masks
-Pastors and church members received rice and face masks

Overall we were able to distribute:

FACE MASKS
BAGS OF RICE
GALLONS OF OIL
BUCKETS
BAGS OF SOAP
